I
am qualified in treating maternity patients and have undergone
a postgraduate reflexology course in fertility and pregnancy.
Reflexology
& Fertility
Many
of the disharmonies and disorders that may occur during a
woman’s fertile life respond well to reflexology treatments.
Reflexology works on balancing all body systems for the man
and the women, optimising the chances for them to conceive.
Reflexology treatments can help the client cope with the emotional
as well as physical side of infertility and can help create
a balanced mine, body and spirit. Infertility can be an extremely
stressful time for the both partners, and reflexology treatments
can help the body return to a state of balance and well being
without being an intrusive medical treatment.
Reflexology
& Pregnancy
Reflexology
is very popular amongst women who are pregnant. It is the
one time where they can feel pampered, relaxed and can experience
some quality time bonding with the unborn baby. Dr Gowri Motha,
Reflexologist, obstetrician and pioneer in water births in
London “discovered that the effects of reflexology
during the antenatal period on labour outcomes were outstanding”.
Some conditions during pregnancy can benefit from regular
reflexology treatments such as: Backache, Symphysis Pubis
Pain, Heartburn, Morning sickness, constipation/diarrhoea,
headaches, and many more. Reflexology can also help to stimulate
labour if the baby goes overdue and both mother and baby are
ready. It can help prevent the need of medical intervention
and the need to induce labour. |
